Hygge Scandinavian Mulled Wine Spice Mix 

As many of you will recall how we used to sell Scandinavian “Glogg” spice mixture at our store during December. We had packed it in a tin with 2 sachets inside and finished it with cellophane and a beautiful ribbon and jingle bell. We also were serving the warm drink made of cranberry juice infused with the spices along with a gingerbread cookie. The mixture was such hit and was sought after every year. Our customers also loved it after being outdoors especially after skiing as an after ski warn drink.

Traditionally served in a glass mug with blanched almonds and raisins on the bottom of the glass.

Well, Kanel spices from Montreal has created a similar beloved mixture and they call it Hygge Mulling Spice. Hygge is a Danish word and means “cozy”. The Nordics practise the same word meaning in different language Kodikas in Finnish, Mys in Swedish, Koselig in Norweigian and Notalegt in Icelandic.
