Product Description
French Market Basket.
A genuine “French market basket”, so called because, although made in Morocco, they are very popular in France with the Frenchwomen for her daily market shopping.
Morocco was a French Colony until its independence in 1956 but the first exchanges occurred between the two countries in the 8th Century so they have had a long association
A beautiful essential all year-round, I take it to the beach, flower market, grocery store and when going away. I always have one in my car. It's not loud so it always works with any outfit.
At home I use it as storage and have many hanging from a peg rack in our mud room.
Size: L 55 cm x H 35 cm x D 20 cm (22” x 13” x 8”)
Details: Berber weave with leather straps.
The basket is handmade so some size variations may occur. Hand woven from the leaves of the date palm.Classic Berber weave.
