Product Description
Provence Market Basket Sisal Handles
A genuine “French market basket”, so called because, although made in Morocco, it is the go to basket for the Frenchwomen for her daily market shopping.
Morocco was a French Colony until its independence in 1956 but the first exchanges occurred between the two countries in the 8th Century so they have had a long association!
A perfect utility basket; we use ours every day for grocery shopping and comes very handy on picnics, travel, beach.....endless uses.
Size: L 50 cm x W 25 cm X H 33 CM (20” x 10” x 13”)
Details: Provence market basket is made of woven palm leaves finished with short sisal rope handles. A handmade basket may have slight size variations and colour.
